HELLO THERE!

I’m glad that you clicked here! My name is Amanda and I’m 23 years old. I'm a translation student, aspiring writer and passionate reader. You could say I’m pretty much another girl in her 20s who got started in the world of literature thanks to Harry Potter, for that is exactly what I am. But I am many, many other things as well.

I was born and raised in Venezuela, then moved to Chile when I was sixteen. Even though it’s in the same continent, it’s pretty far away from home, which aside from many other factors, makes it very hard to travel there often. Venezuela’s situation right now is unbearable, and just thinking about it gets me in a bad mood. So for now, I am studying translation here in Chile. In order to get my degree, I must study subjects in Spanish, English and German, and I’ve been kinda passionate about languages ever since I was a little kid, so I guess I’m lucky that way.

And that's why I decided to make this a bilingual blog! I’ve always loved the idea of connecting with people through the internet, and well, social media… let’s say it just ain't my thing. Actually, anything that calls for regular updates is a tough business with me, but I hope this time it will be different and I will finally be able to keep this blog fresh with reviews and interesting things about books and other cool topics.
